Well this is pretty sad...
My wife's family is full of doctors and nurses. During the pandemic, we often had some pretty heated disagreements about the things going on, especially concerning the vaccines and treatment protocols. Her whole family ended up getting multiple vaccinations. My wife and I refused. More so me, but she knew I was constantly reading about it and said she would do whatever I thought was best for our family. Got the black sheep treatment from them, which eventually eased up after they all got covid anyway.
Fast forward to about a month ago, my wife lost her father aburptly. It was a suspicious death to me, but no one in the family seemed to bring up the fact that he was out doing yard work and just fine a couple days prior to his death. Heart inflammation and then multiple organ failure, really quick too. I just kept my mouth shut, because I could tell they knew what I was thinking and it wasn't the time or place.
I get a call from my wife today, and her sister has a blood clot. It doesn't appear to be life threatening, but people in their 30s shouldn't be getting blood clots.
My wife is freaking out now, thinking about how she may loose her entire family and have to watch them all die around her. She is devastated that she didn't fight harder to keep her family from getting vaccinated and is blaming herself now. She keeps telling me, "Everything you said would happen is happening or has happened."
Her mom, who is a doctor, has now agreed to have their 19 year old who is double jabbed and boosted go through a full medical work up to see if anything is going on with him. If that's not an admission of being worried, I don't know what is.
This has been one of the worst cases of "I told you so" I have ever experienced. It could be a statistical anomaly, but the older I get, the less I believe in coincidences. It's really a shame that so many good people will likely end up injured, dead or losing someone they love from this. Unfortunately, it may be the only way some people will ever open their eyes.
I can't put in words what needs to happen to the people responsible.
