The piece of shit mayor ran as a Republican, but has turned out to be a complete socialist since he took office. Word on the street is that he routinely works against the police chief even though he appointed her. The city has become pretty dangerous. The family and friends of the victim are very connected and will likely get the mayor replaced in the next election.

The irony is how much cheaper Costco is than so many store, but yes even their prices are inflated with this Inflation Reduction thing...

I prefer to use a vaccuum with bags in some rooms; I hoarded some 3 pk. of bags about 2.5-3 years ago at $5.77, yesterday they were $14.86.

Notice that nothing happened until the blue states started bitching. Also note that those that are in aren't going back, so even IF they reduce the border flow they have obtained their future democrat voters. Now they will claim that they have secured the border, just in time to the election.

But I doubt they will do anything real, as it would require Mexico to do something as well, and it doesn't appear they are willing to do that.

Always factor in the "Membership Fee" when computing Costco's cost per item. Long ago their spiel was they only made money on the membership fee.
There stock has done well since 2005.

I bought 5 gallons of olive oil back when it was 9.99 a gallon, still have 3, it's over 20 a gallon now.

that membership fee is cheap, when you figure what you save on gas, and just a few items -- compared if you were forced to buy at Safeway.

The only reason that King Poopy Pants is doing this now is because the border jumpers are now invading the blue states that were only virtue signaling before.

The mouth breathing democrats in the blue states were all for open borders until the illegals began sucking up the freebies they were use to getting and became next-door neighbors.

It's only now that the mouth breathers have figured this out. King Poopy Pants and his handlers are afraid of losing those votes. So they need to get tough on illegal immigration.

The house is still full of flies so closing the doors and windows is really late. It's time to turn the entire family loose with fly swatters and hang the fly paper from the ceiling.

They will have to go and re-bid the contracts again - which will take years.
They won't actually finish the wall.
This is just a ploy to say they are going to work on the wall to get the big blue cities that are whining about being overrun to vote leftist some more.
