Long, long ago, I was at one of my LEO friends house.. A lifetime road deputy, graveyard shift. Owner of two full sized German Shepherd's. Watched him lock his door when we entered his house. I commented on it. He replied how often, on shift, he would make a call to get an intruder out of another person's house. Intruder came in through an unlocked door.
His motto: It's easier to keep them out rather than to try and get them out once they have entered.

If the dems are really worried about poor people (and we know they are not) then there would be a federal law to require taking cash. Lots of poor people do not have cards. Or maybe the answer is the govt gives the poor people debit cards for free with money on them.
Seriously, never heard of EBT cards? Issued for the purchase of food, good at some locations for just about anything that you can imagine. (Legal or illegal)
