IMHO legalization of all would have several benefits. 1st take away huge % of criminal profit. remember the volstead prohibition era? 2nd it would take a huge % of power and control that the medical IC has away. they might have to start paying attention to patients input on many things they ignore now. would curtail the bonuses they get from over prescribing. the covid scam never would have flown if there was no gov Rx control and doctors could have been helpful with advice instead of complicit out of arrogance or ignorance. might push mainstream med into the "functional" area of practice where they could make a huge difference in helping alleviate our current health disaster.

My wife teaches at a high school that has a big section in their parking lot where the kids all have flags on their trucks. They've done it for years and no one tries to stop them.

I will say it depends...........sometimes I crack myself up.
It depends on how bad things get and how long they stay bad. I don't remember the guys name but he wrote a book about surviving in the former Yugoslavia and it was quite interesting. While things like gold did always have some value things like canned ham had so much more value. Medical supplies even more value, soap was pretty darn high up there as well.
When the world goes to hell the people in hell will care less about gold and silver, they will want good water and some food shelter and warm clothes.
I wish I could remember the book as it is quite good, a bit of a downer but good.
Also don't think you are really going to be "living off the land" the larger game will be gone inside of a month or two, and the garden will likely be defended. You make excellent points but one point that I believe is missed regarding gold. If things go mad max gold is useless, however as has happened before things can be horrible, currencies collapse, people have to move but when rebuilding gold has a value. The fellow from Yugoslavia, Selco I believe was the name, made valuable observations on how things changed in value. Of course if he was able to get out of Yugoslavia earlier gold would have been very helpful in those areas not in such despair.
