Judge is not that bright , Trump will be the next president. In terms of self preservation he could of granted a mistrial especially if he's not clean if the next administration decides to put him under a microscope.

A friend of mine, long passed, was on Peleliu. At the time that I knew him, he was a soft-spoken, kind-hearted old gentleman.

It’s interesting despite how close Sid Phillips and Eugene Sledge were how different their wars also were.
Sid Phillips by no means had a peaceful war but there just seems to be something darker and more gruesome in Sledges war.
The hate started with the Goettege patrol at Guadalcanal and by Peleliu it became something animal.
