right. about 10 yr ago my gr.son talked with his father about getting a motor. next day on his cell phone he started getting motorcycle adds. 10+ years ago! freaked (freaks) me out. i try to not believe that we are just a herd of stupid cattle but hard to believe at times. and right that while trump is a capable guy with good intentions,i do believe he is naive about may things AEB things he did last time and esp people he listened to for advice.I think the privacy that many perceive they are afforded today is just that, a perception and that perception is quite contrary to reality. Its just not in-your-face in a way that makes it too obvious where people will reject it. It is somewhat subtle and nuanced. "We" are being read-in to this slowly, while on the backend most of the pieces are already together. Things like talking to someone about taking a vacation, then you start getting vacation email spam.
Talking about needing to start working out, and then start getting ads / recommendations from amazon about excersize equipment. And this is just the very thin surface of what is readily available behind the scenes today, right now.
One might argue that the examples I provided are "good" uses of such, as it brings you together with areas of interest. So if thats considered a good use, then whats a bad use? I am sure you can speculate. But that is still analogous to "whos finger is on the trigger".
These supercomputing centers do a lot of "good" from helping to model climate ( yes, I know lol) to nuclear research, astronomy and theoretical physics, etc. So again, the finger on the trigger. It really just comes down to that. I think Trump for one, is a globalist, but the difference is he wants the USA to lead not be lead. But thats just, like...my opinion. I also think he likely doesn't understand all the nuances and it doesn't make me any more confortable with Elon having his ear for such things...
No doubt he was quite intelligent. Blowing up people sadly discounted the magnitude of what he was saying; the opposite of what he (I think) really wanted. Definitely not sympathetic to that; but he hit a lot of things that people SHOULD be talking about and pondering.!!! Ted's work is one of the most prescient and predictive stuff i have ever read. a bit rambling but personally it is some of the most worthy stuff i have ever read. IMHO he was right on and his issue with genetic engineering has come so true that i am amazed.
Next step Trump....call their bluff. Cut off funding for EVERYTHING.
Silly thing here, but not all people born in the US are considered citizens. For example an Ambassador from any country to the US has a child born in the US that child is not a citizen of the US, but their parents country. The reason for this is the parents do are not subject to US law.
Next step Trump....call their bluff. Cut off funding for EVERYTHING.
And that's why doctors offices are frequently hacked.Exactly. Amex, Visa, MC, Discover...they know more about you than you do. Go to doctor? They more than likely have it all in EPIC. Personally, I like looking at my tests from various doctors and such. It's not about the technology, it's how easily it is corrupted for political gain.

In 2020, the California Legislature passed SB 182, which would have required that new housing developments in very high fire zones include various elements to better withstand wildfires.
SB 182 would have mandated design elements such as evacuation routes, vegetation management, and fire-safe construction.
It also would have required the regional housing needs allocation plan to further the objective of reducing development pressure within very high fire risk areas.
Guess who vetoed it?
Color me shocked!!!! Heck, he's probably out there with a butane lighter starting these....or at least one of his operatives...that would truthfully not shock me either.
motivation around several recent fires

You don’t understand. It’s never all city money. They steal a bunch of money from the outside counties and funnel it to the city. I hear 30 cents of every dollar Maryland counties pay goes to BaltimoreVery easy just shut off the debit card. If it's NYC money well that's their problem.
i don't know if this is true, but it would not shock me.
