This is also the mindset of an ivy league activist, who one night sees a violent EDP on a subway station cursing and smearing his own feces on the walls, and think that they can approach the disturbed person and reason with them, only to get a knife through their neck and bleeding out on the dirty mezzanine floor for their troubles.
Less than a few months into taking power, the new Syrian regime has exposed themselves as pretty much Al Qaeda and ISIS which had been disguised all this time. Over 2000+ Alawites, Christians, and others had been slaughtered in the last 3 days of violence. Entire villages being machine gunned, women and children burned alive. The MSM has almost been completely silent, even so-called "conservative" agencies like the New York Post, pushing only brief coverage buried far under the usual celebrity sleaze and scam health "hacks".
