Hunting & Fishing Post your SMK/Match bullet kills

Late anterless season, factory Prime with the Norma 130, 305 yards slight quartering to me. Hit her high just behind the front shoulder, exited just in front of the opposite hip, watched her drop thru the scope

. A little bigger than a golfball exit. 2736 fps out of the 20" CTR barrel.

I have my 23.5" Bartlein medium palma getting cut down to 18". Was wondering what bullet to run, but I think the 130 Norma is woking just fine. The Bartlein will probably be a little faster than the factory barrel even with it being 2" shorter.

240 yards, 140 EDLM @2660 fps, broadside, no exit, went 40 yards. Not sure what to think of the 140 EDLM as a hunting bullet. Had another one pencil thru a buck's neck at less than 100 yards a few years ago, this one made soup of the lungs, but it was a button buck. I expected 2 holes.

January doe season, filled 4 tags with the 130gr Norma out of my 18" 6.5 Creedmoor. The first two were shot at 225 yards and they both went 20-30 yards. Shot the next two in the evening at 210 yards. Shot the fawn first then could only see the doe's head, so down she went. Really like the Anvil 30 for the tripod. My son's and I have always gotten exits with the Golden Target bullets.

155gr TMK 308 win. Small entry, small exit. Deer tripped on the spot, both lungs liquified as you can see from the frothy blood and lung material on the ground under her. She is also quite a big deer. Range was about 150 yards.

I shoot the 130 Normas out of my 6.5CM too. I’ve had good luck with them as well.

Kicking myself for not taking pics but shot a deer at 260 yards with my AI with the 135gr .257 berger hybrid. High shoulder and exit hole was the size of a baseball. Blood and bone was everywhere. That bitch is fuckin deadly. First deer taken with that bullet so far.

Not first person that had said those were deadly. I'm wondering if the other bullets perform the same 7mm 190 hybrid target. I seen the 30 cal 220 did good

Honestly, ive shot more deer with berger hybrids of different calibers than any other one bullet. 105 6mm hybrid=dead, 130 6.5mm hybrid=dead, 140 6.5mm hybrid=dead, 135 .257 hybrid=dead, 215 .30 hybrid=dead, 230gr .30 hybrid=dead. Seems to be a pleasant trend going on with the hybrids. Especially with high shoulder shots. I can't imagine the 7mm 190 wouldn't be the same and would bet the farm that it would perform great.

The newer bullets like the 135 are tipped like the 190 so seem half scary but you and others said the 135 did great so no worries about opening.

Shot a doe last Saturday with the 130gr Norma at about 100 yards. She was quartering towards me, hit her right where the should meets the neck, took out both lungs, and had 3 tiny exits and one about the size of a quarter right through the last rib on the opposite side. She went about 30 yards.

The pumpkin was killed with 3 rifles and was still standing after 4 shots at 400 yards. Front upper left, 300 win mag 150gr PMC, below and to the right is a 223 75gr ELDM, impact velocity 2275 fps, the two on the right were my 6.5 creed 130 gr norma, 2213 fps impact velocity. Pretty impressed with the 75gr ELDM at that distance. Will have to give it a shot on a deer if we get a not so windy day.
