just having another rifle built from scratch im an ex master sniper in the uk action is a complete gunsmith build {see album} walther barrel ai ax furniture cip s and b 5x25 x56 pm11/2 using redding type s bushing dies lap brass fed primers and serria 2600 250 gr gamekings has anybody a powder to suggest ? for medium range use first

My go to powder for 338 LM is H1000. Works great with 250 and 300 grn

Try rl-33 for speed or vv-570, retumbo and ramshot mag also work pretty good

Retumbo for the heavies and H1000 for lighter than 250 or even 250

I used H1000 with Hornady 285 gr. BTHP with great success.

H1000 always works good for me running 300 grainers.

I am about to try out some pull down WC857 and see how that does. So far velocity wise it runs right with H1000 for a given charge weight. I have high hopes since I scored 32 pounds of it.

94.5 grains of RL-33 has worked the best for me w/the 300 SMK bullet.
