Practical Rifle @ TriCounty this Saturday

Anyone off here going to the Practical Rifle match this Saturday at TriCounty? I'm gonna be out there, my first one of these types. Should be a blast.

If anyone isn't familiar with these it's a "Practical Rifle" match so typically an AR style of rifle. Usually a handful of different courses of fire at steel, from behind different types of cover etc.

I'd love to see some of you guys out there!

I dunno what squad number I was but I was the first squad to shoot stage one. I RO'ed stage one with Jorge for a while. I was wearing a tan jacket with ray ban aviators most of the day.

Small world, we were on the same squad. I was the guy forgot the AR at stage 4...

Are you sure they were only 170? That's what Jorge guessed but they seemed quite a bit further then that.

The camera is a ContourGPS mounted with their picatinny mount:

It will be nice to have weekends off again. I'm looking forward to shooting these again. Heck, I might even shoot a rifle instead of the camera once and a while.... If I can just remember which end of the bullet goes to the front of the magazine...

That looks like a lot of fun, for a newbe, do you have to take a safety class to shoot one of these, or do you get a mentor to help you through the day?

Both. Orientation is at 1400 the Friday before the match at the AR range.

Fusiachi Thanks for the info, will take about two months to get my stuff together and some ammo loaded and maybe I will come out and play....
