Yes sir we still need you to register via the Website and send a check. before we went official/Live we had different plans but this is no longer the case.

Wait.....do we or do we not need to send additional funds to be pulled into the PRSS series if we've already paid for the LoneStar match?

Please register first then send the fee, registration will open October 16th at 6pmPST
The website is set up to not show you the registration info until that time. After that time you register, receive login information, then complete your profile, once money is collected your profile will go active, and added features like shooter profile pic will be activated.

This was on the first page. I took that to mean send it in before the Lonestar match.

As soon as I get something nailed down I will announce it. I have been talking to some MD's but that is all I can say at this point.

Re: Precision Rifle Series

Good job Rich anyone with good business sense knows that PAYPAL is a necessary evil. Like it or not there are alot of ppl that have money tucked away that wives and what not dont know of and I am sure you will get plenty of people buying raffle tickets or paying for PRS entries!!

Good move!

I did see this. I was more so looking for an announcement that stated the fact that there was now an addition fee and the Lonestar entry fee no longer covers it.

Re: Precision Rifle Series

Re: Precision Rifle Series

In regards to getting some New Comps setup east of the Mississippi, what would it take to get one registered?

I have some contacts with access to a 1k range with the ability to do UKD, barricades, stalk, spot, etc. etc.

It would be borderline impossible for me to make it out to anything but 1 of the South West matches next year. I can likely facilitate 2 matches in Central PA to be part of the series however.

There are a few other places that might be interested in hosting as well which would make this more reasonable for east coast shooters to get involved in it.

I really like this series idea, I'm willing to help make it a reality for East Coast guys, especially New England shooters.

You're guaranteed a number of participants showing up for an extended stay if you have any major match in PA during the time whitetail season is open.

Scott, Rich-

I'll send an email over this afternoon to get some info from you. The guys that I have in mind to be involved with the match I'll be seeing this weekend so any information I can get today would be good. I leave in the AM for the weekend events.

Thanks!

ETA: I just sent an email to the address above.

Re: Precision Rifle Series

Rich did you guys put up the shooters profiles then take them down? Tony said they were up last night but I don't see them today.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">2. Match Dates – When will all match dates be finalized and posted so the individuals that have to travel to every match have enough time to schedule vacation and buy plane tickets.</div></div>

<span style="font-weight: bold">The dates will be finalized ASAP. Keep in mind; we are continuously working on getting other matches on board. As MDs notify us, you as shooters will know. Not every MD has the luxury of locking in a date as far in advance as I do for TBRC. Each range/facility has their challenges when it comes to scheduling. Short answer is, competitors will know, when PRS knows.</span>

3. Match fee’s - As a point of interest to all shooters all match fees to include the finale should be setup and posted on the PRS site at the time the event is designated a PRS event in order to allow shooters to properly plan their match selections.

<span style="font-weight: bold">See my answer above and apply as needed. You'll know, as soon as we know. I think you have been around long enough to know that match fees range from 175.00 to 250.00. In the grand scheme of things, I hardly think most would let a 75.00 - 100.00 difference in match fees determine which match people shoot. I would think logistics and travel play a bigger role in match selection. Then again, that is just my logical way of thinking.</span>

Re: Precision Rifle Series

Please keep in mind that PRS is not a sanctioning body of the matches included in the series.

We offer guidelines and any assistance we can, however we do not call the MDs up and say YOU SHALL do this, and YOU SHALL charge XXX dollars. They have the latitude to run their events as they see fit, and have agreed to stay within the PRS rules.

Re: Precision Rifle Series

I am just trying to clarify. This will be the last year of the "bash" as we know it. It won't be the first 60 shooter that apply. It will be the shooter that qualify for the "bash".

Is this correct?

If I have been reading correctly...One of the issues is the following: People that running/in charge of the match are also competing. Is that correct? I have never been to a match where that has happened because the people putting on the match would know the specific details about each course of fire, distances, movers, etc.

Just trying to receive more clarification.

Thank you.

Re: Precision Rifle Series

I can clear up a couple things for you.

1. For 2012 the "bash" will be the PRS finale.
That's not to say that it will be that way forever just for 2012.

2. It is very clear that no person that set the match up or is a RO will be able to shoot the match.

Hope this helps you out some.

Dustin

Re: Precision Rifle Series

Guess I didn't notice till today that shooter profile page is up and functional, at least for those of you that i have shown as paid.
Working on getting profile pics from you guys as the season gets started. I will be at the Bash this weekend and our December match taking mug shots.
Also coordinating an effort out west with the AZ and CA guys if anybody can help with this effort give me a ring.
Match Directors, if you have any good pics of yourselfs and /or crew, please send them to me @ [email protected], I am Working on several articles to be written highlighting each match.
We are still working on adding features to the website....just doesn't seem like there is enough time in the day anymore.

Re: Precision Rifle Series

I don't see me there and I sent my check 1 day after I registered. Please let me know if You did or did not get it. I don't want to miss out!!!

Only thing I would like to see is a scoring system that is somewhat consistant. If money / big prizes are involved its a big deal that it is correct regardless of what/who puts on the shoot.

What's the rule if your primary gun goes down? Is this bolt rifle only or is that decision left to the individual matches?

Re: Precision Rifle Series

Thanks Glen, I'll get back to you soon on that payment question.
