Very nice, I like the McHale stock a lot and think it is somewhat underrated based on its scarce appearance around here.

Re: precision rifles... show em

Thanks David, The stock is very comfortable for me. Its not a very good picture of the rifle, but the rifle is back in the states and I am in Iraq, so its what I had. My first issued sniper rifle was an McMillan M-86, which had a McHale stock in desert camo. Its what inspired that build, I was taking a trip down memory lane. I have been very pleased with how it shoots. I am debating on changing the optics to either a NF or USO and plan on adding a HS Precision DBM when I get home.

Re: precision rifles... show em

well thanks to you all i've learned that i bought some cheap stuff haha
DSCN0809.jpg

so now im building a stock from scratch. getting a new scope new bases and probably going to get some bottom metal for it. its shoots pretty good for me now but we'll see how it turns out after.

Re: precision rifles... show em

I finally have something worthy of this thread so here goes. Sorry for the crappy pic.

Specs
-FN PBR XP .308 20" barreled action
-McMillan TMP (HTG butt and A3ish forend)
-Bushnell 3-12x44 Tactical FFP mil/mil
-Burris XTR low rings
-12 lb. as you see it. I don’t know how you guys hold up 17 lb. rifles.

I haven’t shot it with the new scope, maybe this weekend.

Re: precision rifles... show em

Not a great picture of the HTR
DSC04882-1.jpg

HS Precision HTR in 300 Win Mag
Leupold 6.5-20X50 MK4 M1 TMR
HS Precision Rings and 20MOA Base
Tac OPs Bolt Knob installed by Monteboy84
(Harris Bipod and TIS Sling not pictured)

It's a nice shooter. It's accurate and doesn't have a lot of recoil. It is everything HS Precision promised.

I think they are great!! I first tried one on my 700P .308 back in 2003. I liked it so much I chose it for my .300 win mag build I did this year. Tames the recoil of the .300 to that of a .22-250 ... Thanks for the compliment, much appreciated!

Is that the manners T5A?
Have you compared it to a AI Chassi?
In my dreams I would get a Sentinal, but am going to settle for either a manners T5A or the AI 1.5

Im torn between the 2...

thanks,

yes it is a manners t5a with chassis and i love it. i wanted a sentinell for a long time but they are like a needle in a hay stack. i don't like the aics at all so i am the wrong person to ask, they are very functional but feel very odd in my hands.
