What is the current favorite brass for the 260, lapua, norma, nosler, remington, or make from another caliber? prefer to not turn nks, and brass life is good. Not a tactical match rifle, so no fear of losing brass (lapua).

Buy a couple hundred RP and weight sort them into two batches and see what you see. I loaded for a buddy who bought 400 pieces and I ran 200 of them 3-4 times with little problem.

FWIW I have some Remington .260 brass with 8-10 loadings on them. Pretty mild load of 42 grains H4350 is probably why they have lasted this long. I'm also using Winchester .243 necked up and I'm having really good luck with it as well.

I measured the case capacity of 3 or 4 cases of both 260RP and 243Win necked up to to 6.5mm. I can't remember exactly what the difference was, but want to say it was over 1gr H2O.

I definitely remember it was enough that I didn't want to mix headstamps.

I honestly couldn't tell you the difference in case capacity as I never even worried about it. Turbo, was it the Win brass with more case capacity? I thought I seen somewhere at one time Winchester brass was balloon head casings or something like that.

I had the chance to buy some Nosler this afternoon for my new .260. I refrained at this juncture only because I have 200 pieces of Rem that came with the rifle. I keep hearing the Rem .260 brass is actually fairly decent...

I'm no expert on 260 brass by any means, but I'm having outstanding luck so far with Winchester 243 brass necked up. I'm getting 1/4 MOA groups with it. Bought it cheap for about $21 per 50. I deburred it, uniformed the primer pocket, then trimmed and chamfered it on my giraud.

Yeah, Brian mentioned a couple kriegers in 260 he did for ar10s. I miss Corn, but Brian does dang good work. Had him true up a Remington action and I put a remage barrel on it. Just as slick as corns action work and just as accurate. Built a tikka to for me that is a hammer. Have to get together sometime at the farm and shoot. With crops out I can stretch out to 1250 yds. Back on topic, I found some nosler 260 so picked it up, everything else was out, even 7-08 win. Is nk turning required on 243 brass? Prefer to have proper case stamp but all my 243 shoot Berger and probably try to make 140 amax work in this so red tips should keep from mixing up.

If you guys are doing some shooting let me know would love to join! Im in same area of 260shooter but I need to get some glass on the new 260 and some freaking 7-08 brass if they ever come ff backorder since its almost unheard of ;)

If you are going to get all your brass back, I'd go Lapua. RP fully prepped works well but Lapua is better IMHO. I haven't run Norma or Nosler yet. I've done the necked up Win 243 Win / down Win 7-08 Rem to 260 and in my experience it performs well but hasn't held up as well as Lapau.
