First I want to state I have no affiliation or do I profit from Premier optics.
This Saturday I was invited by Paul (Plange on the hide)to check out their setup. He is currently the QC and warranty guy for Premier USA.They are currently building out a new repair center in Winchester Va.
I'm posting this to provide a little more information for those interested in this companies operation and possible future.
I found Paul to be humble and believe he was quite open and honest with the information provided.
Currently all Premier optics are made in Germany this however is probably going to change and they will be setting up the majority of the manufacturing in Nova Scotia.
There is quite an investment in this product and I can't imagine it being abandoned barring something pretty catastrophic happening.
As I said the shop they are setting up is still in the build out phase but they had enough to do the warranty work.I got quite an education on how scopes work and are made.I truly wish the best for these guys.
Lenses being cleaned under a 40x micro scope.the glass is inspected against high contrast lights. The assembly is then directly placed into the tube and it is sealed off at that point so no further chance of contamination exists.
The scope getting the the erector installed.
A neet set up that simulates looking through the scope at 1000 meters. It allows you to check tracking.
