After reading the review of Trigger Monkey's on the PRS tripod, I'm wondering if a bipod is even needed? Does the PRS tripod provide a stable platform at the taller heighths (standing) without much wobble? At probably a quarter of the price of the Manfrotto set up, it seems to be a good solution for elevated shooting in various positions, weight being quite a bit lighter also than other products.
Long term use proven to be a good alternative?
Anyone who has the PRS system give a shout out, pro's and con's.

Tripods are good for seated or elevated shooting. I would not replace my bipod with one though.

The prs and slik tripod are fantastic IMO. Much better than my cheap home brew. The ball head is the biggest benefit.

You can run the PRS medium tripods with the centre post (large threaded section) removed and have a setup lower than a bipod if required.

I use the medium for high grass and awkward slant angle shooting. Since the day I got it it's been on every shoot and hunt. They are really worth their weight in gold. Not as heavy and complicated as alot of the more serious tripods but they dont need to be either, its a simple but versatile Slik tripod with a really nice and refined cradle on a ball head that you can put your rifle / spotter / lrf on and get down to business.

For the price you can't go wrong.
