I enjoy my Large Frame PSA's greatly. 6.5CM and .308.
My first PSA ( Gen II ) 6.5CM shot 5 different factory rounds sub MOA , 5 rd groups , 100yds, with no special cleaning or barrel break in. ( YMMV )
After some tinkering, they have all been very good value, producing very respectable consistent accuracy.
I didn't expect them to be perfect , given the price paid, but my initial precision results prompted me to improve on the accuracy.
And I am completely happy.
And learning how to accurize an AR was an added bonus.
Changing the PSA barrel over to a Criterion 22" produced this 10rd / 100yd group.. I routinely use that rifle to 1200yds
Is every PSA a tack driver ?... Lol, if they were PSA would be selling a them for much more....
However, IMHO, they are a solid platform , especially the Gen III , and worth the money.
Plan on installing a Adj. GB , that makes a heck of a difference on every Large Frame AR I have assembled, various barrel brands, length, gas system lengths and patterns.
A lot of people had issues with earlier PSA products, and IMHO, PSA has ironed out a lot of those bugs.
Would I buy PSA's over again , know now what I didn't know then ?
Yes... the cost of their rifles was a major factor.
And I have a PSA 308 upper that can do this.. 10rds , 100yds
Both those groups were after I added the Adj. GB's ( SLR ), lapped the upper receiver face flat and Loctited the barrel in place, snugged up upper to lower fit, heavy buffer setups, and Lantac muzzle brakes. Various triggers.
So... IMHO, the PSA's can be darned good rifles.
