Night Vision PULSAR N550 SCOPE looking for best price

hey im new hear and a long time shooter but first time night vision buyer and im looking to put pick up a pulsar n550 digisight to mount on a molded out 10/22 sbr with a 6 stage can and 4.5 in long ss barrel
the pulsar n550 digisight looks like the best buy to me and i want to get it with the ext ir light so i have a bit more range its only a 22 so 200-300 yards max im good with i just wanted to ask what you guys think about range with this scope with vs with out the ext light i see the ext is 940 that the eye cant see vs bult in thats a 840 that you can see and id like to stay as stealthy as i can and not spend bunch of $$ and run around with a bright red light on my gun lol
and wear wood you all say the best deal is i found it for pulsar n550 digisight 1359.99 with the ext light and case cheaper than with out the ext light free shipping on amazon ASIN: B0087UDD0Y
any advice wood be great im just going to be using it for fun but want to get the best bang for my buck

i think id trust amazon.com more and i have prime with 1 day shipping free its shiped by amazon i just like that more than from some guys bacement and you never know about some 1 selling refurbished stuff eather
but how is the n550 in day use all the vids i see are night time use and that is a big selling point to me that i can use it in the day time on the same gun its cind of a truck gun that i keep under the seat you never know when a good carbine might come in handey

the outher thing that i was thinking about is the pulsar recon 550 with a ir laser if i can mount it on the gun or with a 552 sight in front or something like that wood be a great day/night set up the same seller shiped by amazon has the recon 550 for 450 free 1 day prime shipping so thats like less than haff of the n550 sight

You will need the to buy the 550 digital scope for shooting one of my hunting lease buddies has the 550 Recon digital viewer and my IR laser barely shows up in the FOV its not a good system for shooting like a PVS-14 and laser.

i orderd 1 of the pulsar n550 off amazon the price whent down to 1349.99 so i just did it for the money i cant beat that and just for kicks what price range wood a pvs 14 with laser set up cost about just ball park

ever wear i have looked the pvs-14 is like 2000 or more and i dont like the idea of tubes going out when ever pulsar uses a sony ccd and id trust that more long term i think

I wouldnt worry to much about a gen 3 tube not Lasting My oldest is nearly 20 years old and still going. On price you are correct a good gen2 or gen3 mono will run you 2000 and up. I know that's a lot of cash but you are talking about a system that should last you many,many many years of crusing through the dark with a huge grin on your face trust me money well spent

. The pulsar 550 is a cool setup for the money it's hard to beat and better then a commerical gen 1 system in my eyes. Trust me sooner than later you will want a night vision viewer/mono to go with your scope a good gen 2 or 3 viewer would be great to scan and then follow up with the 550 for shooting. Heck you may even look at a ps24 thermal their under 2000 and make a great spoter system I use the ps32 myself.

Hi and welcome -

First off the N550 is a good product, best bang for the buck with the correct external IR illuminator.

Secondly - The Pulsar "sees" in the ~800 nm wavelength of light so getting a 940 illuminator would not be optimal.

Third and finally - Ceylon is a well respected member on this site, I bought a N550 from him - it didn't ship from his "basement" in fact it was drop shipped direct from the U.S. importer in Mansfield TX.

Supporting the Hide members is always preferrable over Amazon PRIME. IMHO.

i got it and its great im glad i spent the cash and it was money well spent and it came in the very next from amazon i love prime shipping its amazing to me how fast you can get stuff orderd at 9pm at night and had it at my house at like 3;30 the next day and im happy whith it and it came with the remote to and the ext light is reay great iv only used it to about 150 yards but the bult in light you can see with the naked eye and the ext light is 940nm and you cant see it at all and it works good out to 200 yards if your going to buy this scope id recomend geting the ext light and geting it right from the usa distributer on amazon the price was the best and shiped by amazon.com is so fast you cant beat it with a stick 1349.99 out the dore im a happy camper and i think iv got about the best 10/22 set up money can buy

I'm almost certain Ceylon would have beat that price by $100 or so. Also he's probably one of the best guys you could possibly ever do business with.
