PVA John Hancock Rifle - All Drama Aside - Do they Shoot?

Interesting. They were one of the very first custom actions that were machined dead nuts on to allow prefits. Ive got prefits for my 2013 from rws, cutright, kampfeld, and red beard. All screw on my 2 2013s and headspace correctly. My actions have never been to those shops, they just use badgers tenon print. Not trying to be argumentative, just really like the barrels ive got from you and kind of like to avoid sending an action in.

I don't make barrels off prints without seeing a few first. They're not a terribly popular action by request and for the few we have done I have not put enough pieces together to know that my data is statistically significant as compared to the print. Since the liability falls on me I'm somewhat cautious when I offer prefits.

Hey guys. I know there was a long wait time but I still think it’s a neat rifle.

For those of you that finally got them, I’m curious if it was worth the wait.

Would you do it again?

I would do it again...My 'experience'...The rifle IS accurate <.5 MOA...Pretty much all in one package...I did a trigger swap. A Geiselle 2-stage trigger which is very nice...I adjusted it down to less than 1 lb...(I shoot from a bench/tripod and at steel/targets. I'm old and new to long-range shooting...) I also put an Acra rail on it...I swapped out the 'head' I bought from PVA for a RRS one, which was, to me, pricy but all the difference in the world...(Buy once, cry once??? LOL) All that said, I must admit that although the JHR with the Nucleus action is 'smoother' and a better fit for me, and what I wanted all along, my RPR is just as accurate...I also must admit I 'upgraded' my RPR to the point it was 'almost' as expensive as my John Hancock Rifle...LOL Would I buy my JHR again??? You bet...I'm no longer looking for 'another' toy as I'm reaching the end of the road...Life is good!!!
