I have an L3 PVS-14 inbound. Looking for some feedback on adapters to connect it to some of my variable power scopes (mainly on my ATACR 1-8 LVPO, and possibly my 7-35 at lower mag).

I'd need something along the lines of the Monoloc system, but where I could modify the bushings to fit the different size eyepieces on my optics (I'm a decent machinist with a ton of Delrin/PEEK on hand). Something adjustable for eye relief would be great too.

Is there anything like this on the market? Thanks in advance!

TNVC used to sell one - I had it. Piggybacked 14's are hard to make work in a variety of conditions.

The Badger SNAP ring is the same idea. Depending on the size of your optic, maybe this could work.

Regardless people's experiences with the SNAP are going to be similar to piggybacking a 14 on to a day optic.

Thanks! I'm definitely planning to run an illuminator. Probably a Luna ELIR-3 for the time being. I never considered the Badger, thinking it would be too hard to adapt it for different eyepieces, but I need to look at those again and see if they'd work.
Be extremely careful with mounting small Halo L3 WP tubes on rifles.

If your tube comes in at 0.8 halo or smaller, I’d recommend against weapon-mounting.

Better to get an NV compatible optic or IR laser and keep the PVS on your face.
Yeah, I should have mentioned that I'm only going to mount it to a PCP airgun for varmint hunting at night. I'm going to get a Crye type cap for whenever I use it with my AR. I don't want to risk recoil damage

Gosh, it's been awhile since we made that adapter. Badger still makes one of the best units out there but times have really changed and things evolve. As Horta mentioned, always be very careful mounting a 14 to any rifle in any fashion. I know we had reports here on the Hide of folks using a 14 on the back of a day scope to unGodly distances, but just not an optimal solution, espcially with those refurb 30's running around.

Also consider that any illuminated reticle or RDS, no matter how dim, risks marking your tube.
Yeah, I wasn't really planning on running the reticle illumination, and just using the IR illumination for seeing the reticle. That works pretty well with a little Pard NV007 that I have for sniping rabbits in the garden at night with my ATACR 1-8 on a little bad ass EdGun Leshiy that I built for pesting out to 150m.

I've never run forward mounted NV, but if I'm understanding the purpose of the two "NV compatible" settings for the 1-8's illumination - is it meant for forward mounted NV units? Also wondering.. and I'm going to reach out to NF about this, would these two settings be relatively safe to use if I was using the PVS-14 in a head mounted monocular setup? (Since the illumination would not be stationary)?
