Hey everyone,
I'm brand new to night vision and just got a set of PVS-7s. The lenses on the eyepieces are cracked and I'm trying to remove them. At first, I thought they were demist shields because they are flat, unlike the diopter lens that I was told is round. I removed the inner-most retaining ring, but the lenses still won't come out. They do move up and down as I adjust the (gear-looking) diopter ring. I'm starting to think that these are integral to the diopter cell. Does anyone have any advice on how to remove these lenses? I'd like to avoid replacing the entire rear cover assembly because the only one I can find it $350, while diopter assemblies and demist shields are only $10. I've attached some images below.

Thanks in advance!

i seem to remember that window is glued/siliconed in , but you do see the lens cells on ebay sometimes , looks like a bad bash and could have gone thru to the next lens under it , try a small sharp thing on the edge to prize the window up/out = its broke anyway but proberbly just held with sticky stuff

It does seem like it's stuck in there pretty good, so it very well might be glued in. I can tell through the broken eyepiece lens that the diopter lens is not broken. I was able to buy replacement eyepiece lenses cheap on eBay, and I was just told that I can install them by removing the rear cover plate. I just hope removing the eyepiece assembly from the diopter assembly won't be a huge pain.
