Join the contestI've fixed mine with a heavier spring. I'm still considering selling it.The solution is a heavier firing pin spring. You should be able to get the gun running right for $10.

Hey there, I just purchased a new mini fix last month and am getting some light primer strikes. I have the 300 BO model. I get light strikes with all fmj ammo but Hornady 190 gr Sub-X functions flawlessly.I've fixed mine with a heavier spring. I'm still considering selling it.
Sold mine on Gunbroker for $3000, spent the money on a Barrett. Leaps and bounds happier.Any word? I’m on the fence buying one right now.

What you want to know specifically...?Any word? I’m on the fence buying one right now.
It works fine if you reload and use specific primers. If you want to shoot factory ammo then you might be better off with something else as it can be pretty finickyIf this issue is resolved or not. I’m not hearing or reading anything about post repair stories. I really want this pistol but if it doesn’t work.. I’ll keep searching for something else.
I wonder if it’ll be a sore subject that gets brought up at their booth at the expo next weekendAKA, Did Q figure out how to defeat geometry and make a short throw bolt that wasn't heavy as hell and can still reliably ignite primers, lol

I’d personally take an MCX over a honey badger but that’s just meGotcha. I’m almost into reloading but not just yet. Maybe I’ll hold off. Is the honey badger a worth while option? (I know, different) or just a basic 300BO AR just as good?
whats the big bolt knob?I’ve already added the big bolt knob so at this point I’d welcome a heavier bolt lift if I could get at least close to 100% reliability. A nice bolt lift does me no good if nothing happens when I pull the trigger lol.
That’s interesting about the bolt design though. I’ve not taken mine apart that far, only enough to get the new bolt knob in.
Hopefully the engineers at Q come up with a fix for this issue soon as having a $3k gun that can’t run most ammo is pretty irritating to say the least.
It's literally just a slightly larger bolt knob that q makes as a replacement. I have one as well.whats the big bolt knob?

gotcha. wasnt sure if you guys were talking about the extended bolt q makes or found a universal bolt knob that fits on the end. It's literally just a slightly larger bolt knob that q makes as a replacement. I have one as well.
See, stuff like this doesn’t help me AT ALL!Sorry for all you guys having issues w/ your minifix's. I love mine. works flawlessly. and is crazy accurate. such a fun rifle to shoot.

I ended up contacting Q, sent my bolt in for warranty repairs and they returned it in about 2 weeks which included shipping time both ways. They didn't say exactly what was done but it is much better. I will still occasionally get some light strikes when shooting something with a hard primer but it's good enough now where I have decided to keep it.Any word? I’m on the fence buying one right now.
Damn! I'd say you were more than patient on that.Glad yall got quick turn around
I tried sending my full sized fix in for the 6.5 feeding issue and finally had to start being like what the hell when we approached a year...
I was getting a lot of messages about mini-fix springs. I directed a couple of guys to Karl at the Texas branch of Diamond Wire. I had Fix springs made. I don’t think anyone has made any mini-fix springs yet. I’ve only sold 2 so far. I haven’t had any complaints about them not working.Does anyone have the springs lying around for a stronger mini fix strike? Get light strikes on discreet ballistics but otherwise like the combo. No issues on full size
That’s awesome!I have 609 rounds through mine as of today since my 6.5 fix came back from light strike issues (which took 19 weeks to resolve).
They said they replaced the cam on the email I got.
It has had 0 issues since then, even using CCI 450’s with Lapua SRP brass. The 19 weeks left a bitter taste in my mouth, but after backpack hunting the Ruby Mountains for two weeks I like the rifle again. I got my jumbo shrimp suppressor out of NFA jail last week and shot it for the first time today and now I like the rifle again. Shooting it suppressed is like a whole new rifle. Much more pleasant to shoot and no more fireballs every time I touch it off.
Nothing relevant to what I sold, rec 7 DI dmr. But every 308 I own is zeroed for FGMM 168 because that’s what I have stock piled. If I can’t trust a firearm, I send it on down the road. What model did you get?
