Since this is the gunsmithing forum I figured I'd ask here for input regarding AR-15 accurizing books. I am well aware of how an AR-15 works and how it's associated parts and pieces work together so I'm not interested in a "how to assemble a bag of parts book". I guess I'm looking for a "graduate level" book that goes into the finer details of accurizing an AR-15.

It is quite frustrating (and expensive) to purchase a book that when you get it home and leaf through it is essentially a build guide that is tied to XYZ MFG's parts (kinda like reloading manuals). I'm looking for the one that tells you what steps you should consider for maximum accuracy and reliability.

In the Hide's experience if you could only have 1 book to reference for building accurate AR's which one would it be?

Why in your experience did you come to that conclusion?

What other references have you used and discarded that this one replaced?

Perhaps this could be expanded to other areas of the precision shooting art but at the moment I wish to know about accurizing AR's.

What say you?

Cheers,

Doc

Zediker. Some like his writing style, some don't.

His books are good, written from an NRA highpower shooters' perspective. He covers a lot of different manufacturer's offerings but like any other writer he has his own preferences.
