I know the mil version PH scope has the nice MTC turrets that have a distict harder click at every full mil of adjustemnt, but doe the MOA version do the same at every full moa?

click, click, click, CLICK!!.

sorry if this has already been addressed.

Euro Optic lists: Premier Heritage Tactical 5-25x56 Illuminated MOA Reticle, MTC DT CCW 1/4 MOA 96 MOA
can anyone confirm?

Re: Question about PH moa scope turrets

Kane, thanks, but I know what it means as I had it in their mil/mil version.

What I am asking though is it at every 2 moa on the new PH 5-25x56 moa/moa which is every 8 clicks?

I have also read it was every 10 clicks ( 2.5 moa which would hurt more than help)

Also at 25x can anyone confirm how much usable elevation is in the reticle. Just would like to know from owners.

Re: Question about PH moa scope turrets

beenjammin,

the MTC-"clunk" is every 2 MOA (which equals 8 clicks).

Usable holdover is determined by the FOV of the scope if the reticle has more holdover than the FOV allows to use at max. power. Not much you can do about this as a manufacturer except offsetting the reticle slightly so the crosshairs are above the center of the FOV, but this looks somewhat disturbing. Of course you can always sight in the rifle at 10 MOA high for example to gain more holdover. Anyway, since a picture says more than words, I did a quick plot of the reticle at 25x for you. I hope this is OK although I don't actually own one.

Re: Question about PH moa scope turrets

David, thank you very much. I read in another thread where someone did not like it because he said there was not enough hold over at 25x. But from you picture there is a ton. Afterall Nighforce only has 20 MOA total in their reticle. I was just wondering what kind of hold was at 25x.

thanks.
