10 shots right off the bat at 100yds. This is only my second time shooting my 5R so I know there is room for improvement on my part. Wind felt like 5mph+ at times.

Have you tried some FGMM? My 5R shot very well with it for factory ammo.

Seems like the 5R liked the Open Tip Match ammo pretty well! Glad you were able to shoot is and hold a nice group. I'm also very impressed to see you post a 10-shot group, not a 3-shot one! To me, your post is very valuable information as to the capabilities of the equipment and the shooter. Thanks again for sharing.

Not yet. I bought 60 rounds of TAP 168gr A-max instead.

Real nice shooting! I just got a new 5R in .308 and while my 100 yd groups are similar, you have a distinct edge!
Take those 168 gr bullets out to 300 yds and let us know how you do. That gun makes me look like a hero on paper!

I did take the 168gr OTM out to both 250yds, the one with 2 paper targets on the right, and out to 500yds, nothing but steel, and was ringing them till I ran out of 168gr OTM.

Wow, my buddy has a 5r in 308. Very nice factory rifle. He won a match at our rifle club at 400 yards with it. Need to ask him how big his group was.

nice shooting. ive got about 300 rounds through my new R5. I've been shooting .75" 5-shot groups consistently, but my rifle likes to shoot .40" when Im not messing it up. all shots off a bipod with no rear bag (yet)
Threw my last shot 175 federal match. 4-shot .4", 5-shot .75" 100yards
My personal best 5-shot group with 168 match at .6" at 100yards. these lower shots was my heartbeat

11 shot group at 100yds, two on the right were sighters so to speak, was just trying to get on target before i decided to group. Do you reload? Here's a thread with a bunch of members 5R range reports and data which could be useful.

Try 37.3 gr. Viht 135,168gr. HP Sierra. It's a "slow" load, but its accurate. I'm getting 1/2 in. at 100. Love my 5R.
