Hey guys, I've been playing around with all sorts of new loads for my .308 since I put the new barrel on it. I went with a 22" Krieger and the smith that did the work told me that he used a reamer appropriate for the Sierra SMK, whatever that means.
Anyway, I loaded up 50 of the 155 Palma SMKs to 2.8" OAL with varying charge weights. When I got to 45gr of RL15, I shot 3 five round groups. The largest came in at just over .3" and the smallest at around .15" at 100 yards. I felt that this showed some promise, but what really surprised me was that my chrony was showing a solid 2800 FPS for this load.
Does that sound right to you guys?
