I have a CZ 452 scout that Has at least 40k rounds down the pipe, It is my competition rifle, and I have been thinking of having a new barrel put on it. So I have a few questions...

1, What barrel would you go with?

2, Do you guys know of a gun smith that would take on a job like this?

thanks for the input!

I know Joe Bell from Bell's Precision Rifles in IN has built one with a Shilen barrel and it shot AMAZINGLY well! I am not affiliated with him in anyway, I just have personally met him and shot a few of his rifles and he seems like a great guy who is good at what he does! His # when he gave it to me is 812-614-3825. If you can't get him there you can find his business and lots of his builds on FaceBook(doesn't have a running website yet). I was going down this road a few months back(finally just decided to stick with my 455) and I talked with him and he said he would do it! I also believe Mark at SAC told me he would do it and if my memory serves me correctly the guys at Accurate Ordnance also said they would.

When it comes to the 452 the barrel is a massive pain to get out of the receiver from every thing I read.

I was going to go with a Rock Creek barrel, which is still "on the way". I am now planning on trying to machine it for my 455.

Hope this helps in your search. Keep us updated on your progress!
