I have a question for you all. I am trying to decide which US Optics scope to get for my AR with 16" barrel. I am looking for an all around rifle that I can compete in F-Class, hunt coyotes and maybe do 3 gun competitions with. I shot it last Saturday in a 500 yard prone competition and had a great time. I am running a SWFA SS 10x on it right now. As far as which scope to get I plan on mounting a small red dot on the side for close in work. (Docter or Aimpoint Micro) I have been wondering if I would feel handicapped by a fixed power scope? I guess I would get a 6x or a 10x. Is there a gap where the red dot won't work but a 6x or a 10x still doesn't have a large enough field of view? Right now I am thinking of the 1.5x6, but if I can get away with a fixed power and not feel buyer's remorse I might go that route. Anyone else have any ideas? I have never even shot a red dot so I don't know how far out you can shoot with them. Thanks in advance for any replies.
