Building a 6.5cm lr. Looking to get the recoils as low as possible for precision work. Looking like a proof 22" +2 barrel, w adj gas block, standard weight carrier, jp high pressure bolt. Would a carbine ubr stock or a different prs or luthar stock recoil less. It will also be supressed.

Recoil difference between carbine and rifle

The Magpul UBR should be a carbine length buffer system, but since it's a lot heavier than a CTR or other lightweight stocks, the UBR will eat up a bit more recoil. Plus it's very ergo and comfy to shoot with IMO. The Magpul PRS is a rifle length system and will soak up even more recoil with the extra inch or so of buffer travel. I also have a VLTOR A5 buffer system which works well at reducing recoil, and is worth looking into. The A5 makes my 556 feel like a soft 22 when suppressed. It's laughable how soft shooting it is. A suppressor will be a nice help in what you are trying to achieve.
I would think the PRS or the A5 would be my top 2 choices.
You are building everything in to the rifle to make it as soft shooting as possible, so the next area would be the ammo you would be using , a lighter weight pill could make it even softer yet.

Wait, what?? There are gas lengths and buffer weights and there are not stocks tailored for any specific one. Any of those stocks will work with any of those gas/buffers as long as you match the buffer tube diameter to the stock (commercial or mil-spec)
The stock you put on isn't going to be a big factor of recoil and impulse control for an AR. The heavier the stock then the less felt recoil you will get but it isn't going to make a huge difference.
To reduce felt recoil there are 3 factors I would look at. Gas system length, buffer weight and muzzle device.
To get the lowest recoil possible then use a rifle length gas system, a heavy buffer and a muzzle break.
However there are trade offs to this. Increasing gas system length and buffer weight increase dwell time which then requires the shooter to better control recoil impulse which is very different in an AR vs a bolt action rifle. The impulse will be less harsh in this configuration but the time in which you have to control it increases.
