...from a X-bow!
OK, I'm sitting here laughing at myself. I'm shooting in 1000 yd F-class matches all weekend (5 of them) and my shoulder hurts from a freaking X-bow!
Here is the deal. I'm 6'4" and wear shirts with 37" sleeves. I gave up bow hunting yrs ago after I delaminated a compound and got a little beat up by it. Seems that I overdraw the crap out of them and they eventually break.
Fast forward a decade or two, I finally decide that I'm tired of missing the first few weeks of deer season so I go out and get a new x-bow. Was at an indoor range today getting an initial zero on the scope. These damned things have enough recoil that if you don't have good form it will tell on you. I was holding it like a 22 the first couple of shots and quickly figured out I needed to hold it in tight, not that it hurt at the time but it was not staying on the POA through the shot. Driving home I noticed my shoulder was sore. Who'd a thunk it?
