My RCBS 750 digital scale stopped working correctly. When ever I hit the calibrate button it shuts off. I'm looking for a replacement.

I may go old school beam or I may go low end digital.

What does everyone recommend in the sub $150 price range?

I have the same scale as you....RCBS 750 and I know a couple of other guys who use that scale as well. They have always worked flawlessly for us. Perhaps RCBS would replace your scale if you called them and described the problem. If you are contemplating the purchase of a new scale anyway, maybe you should buy a beam scale AND send your digital back to RCBS for replacement/repair.

If you're looking for a beam scale, contact Scott Parker and get a tuned scale from him: vld223@yahoo.com

If you're thinking about a digital, just pony up the money for a RCBS chargemaster combo. It's on the expensive side but worth it. After getting it you'll wonder why you waited so long.

Was looking to upgrade my scale this year and read too many reviews of the 750 doing exactly what you stated, right after end of warranty. I tried both the RCBS 1010 and 502 and stuck with the 502. Its a dependable little balance.

Thanks everyone. I actually picked up another RCBS 750. My old one was over 10 years old so I don't mind giving them the business for a new one. I still need a beam scale for back up though....
