Since we don't have a factory ammo section, I posted it here. Mods please move as appropriate.

Looking for a cheaper alternative to 77 SMK which my gun loves at any range from any brand up to 850 or so.

Looking for something cheaper but still decent for shooting under 600 yards.

Pvri Partizan 69 or 75 match ammo look like good options, as the 69 was recommended to me.

Anyone have any experience with these specific rounds or have any other suggestions?

Not looking to reload at this time.

I was really surprised when I read this in my latest guns magazine bc my DD is a 1/7 twist barrel and most guys tell me I need to shoot heavier bullets. HPR 55grain shoots sub moa out of my DD 18" 1/7. Have taking it out to 600 yards. I've purchased them on grabagun for .38/round shipped

Look around for some of the Hornady Steel Match 75grn BTHP.
http://www.hornady.com/store/223-REM...P-STEEL-MATCH/

It comes in boxes of 50 and usually runs about $21-22 a box. Shoots great. I use it for 3 gun but when I got my new .223 bolt gun I ran some through to see how it would shoot and shot a 5 shot group at 400 that was about 2" and shot this at 100. The arrow was the one I pulled out of the group when the 16" AR next to me went off as I pressed the heavy trigger I had in it.

I found the norma tac 55 grain shot really well in my rifle and cabelas has it for 6.99/20 on occasion which works out to ~38 cents per after tax. I only have a 9 twist so I havent gone to the 77 grain stuff but the 55 grain has become my go to when I have people shooting guns for the first time or something that I dont want to waste my good handloads on like fouling a barrel after cleaning. Plus norma brass is left over (crimped primers though:confused:)

I've had great luck with IMI 77gr out to 700 yards.
$335 per 500 at SG Ammo.

I have run 4,000 rounds of the PPU 75gr Match through my 16" 1/7 twist Colt M4 and it absolutely loves them. 1/2 MOA and better from my rifle. I have not had a single misfire either. At $0.48 per round and with how well it groups and performs from 100 to 600 yards I cannot justify using anything else. SGAmmo has 1,000 round cases for $479.00
