Edit- Renaming this the Recon Bag after feedback as to how well this thing works in the field in real world situations.

Finally. After spending nearly 3 months designing and testing some of the most complicated things that have ever been sewn together and piling them all up on a shelf one by one in defeat. I wadded up all of the sketches and plans and started completely over. I went with a very simple but very effective design. It uses friction rather than heft and surface area to bring stability. It's super grippy on both sides with the same unique fill that's in the ELR bags but at a different ratio. When I finished the first one I was testing it on my leather work chair that I sew in and thought it was ok. Then I took it out to a solid barricade and was blown away. This little thing is solid as a rock and basically welds your rifle to whatever it's on. The wobble I was getting on the chair right after I made it was the chair moving, not the rifle. It is around 9x7x3 and I about 4.5Lbs. I am going to get a scale tomorrow and weigh it.

Had some requests for more pics. The rain held off long enough for me to grab a few. The more I test this thing the more impressed I am with it. Barrel is being threaded on my 6.5 so I had to let the little guy support my 300 Norma! It handled it fine!

It does amazing on flat surfaces. It will literally make the rifle as stable as the surface it is on.

No prob at all on rounded objects. It conforms and grips the heck out of it. You can't really see it conforming in the pic because it's happening under the rifle. You will see in the next couple of pics.

Angled is not a problem. I was actually very surprised with this one. I wasn't able to shoot from here but I shouldered the rifle and it was legit solid. The fill does not slip on itself so it stays where you put it.

Skinny post, check. Next pic will show why this bag works so well without draping legs or flaps over an obstacle.

The fill is dense like sand but unlike sand it WILL conform to what is under it. Once it is formed to the obstacle the dense fill and grippy material keep it locked there. It's not slippery on the inside because I don't want my fill to "flow" like other companies are trying to do. Mine conforms and stays put.

Thinking this would be great on a hunting rifle
I think so too. My brother doesn't really do any PR type shooting other than some stationary long range stuff with me. He is stoked about the bag because he has been asking me to come up with a hunting bag and this should work great for that purpose.

Owner of both the original rear bags, they are solid and I have no idea what the fill is but works better than the other bags I own. Just ordered the comp bag as I was impressed with the quality of the others. Got the notice will ship Tuesday. Great seller quality product. Here is my comp bag. Might have some other shooting bags to sell soon. ?

We sincerely appreciate your support. Hoping this bag shakes up the norm!

I will give one a try, pm me info and color choices please sir.

You can get a view of all of the colors here. The ELR Mini pic shows all of them. The black grippy material is due in early next week so if you choose a black based color it will prob ship on Thurs. Brown based colors will ship Mon-Tues.

ok... just sent my order... will it be here Monday :)
If I had everything on hand it would ship Monday! I take orders straight off the printer and get on them. I aim to never get into a position where people have to wait weeks on their stuff! Prob because I hate waiting on stuff lol. The black grippy is due in tues or wed so will ship wed or thurs. PM me a pic of your setup so I can make sure your straps are in the right place.

Have you got one setup for the AXMC or do you need dimensions for that?
I'd be interested in trying it for the front and then possibly a second one or one of your others for the rear.

Its easy on an AX because the forend is enclosed and the straps can go anywhere. The straps are really just to make it move with you between obstacles. They do help a little with stability but their main function is to keep from having to carry it on the clock.

I have a couple of Precision items and they are all nice and well, made.... but I'm really impressed by the customer service and support
    I'm seeing here.....
I appreciate it. I fully understand that to make a splash in this industry I am going to have to put out top quality stuff and back it up with equally top quality support. I plan on doing both of the above!

Please let me know as I would like to order a comp bag and a bullet book at the same time. Thanks (and no hurry, I know you are super busy)
10 4 if you wanted to go ahead and order the comp bag I’ll ship the other for free once it’s ready to make it cost you the same. Just put your screen name in the order notes to remind me.

I ordered a bag from them at the same exact time and same payment method I ordered items from two other prominent vendors. That was Monday night. It’s Thursday and I’m holding my awesome Precision Underground bag. One of the other vendors said they shipped but are only one state over and I haven’t seen it yet. The other vendor hasn’t even sent me a notice. Love the service and quick shipping. Can’t wait to try it out! Looks great!

Got out to use the bag again today in a variety of circumstances. On angled logs and rocks the grippy material really showed its value. The rifle was very solid, especially when the bag was slightly compressed between the bipod attachment and the magazine.

Heck yes! I know I hate waiting on stuff after ordering it so I try to get everything out the door the same day or the next day whenever possible. Sometimes that means sewing 10 bags in a day but I’d rather have that than a huge backlog. I aim to never have people waiting 6 weeks on a bag, that seems ridiculous.

    Win that match this weekend!

Can a guy get the mini ELR with grippy material?
Yea I could do that. I'd probably do $39 on it because that stuff is way more expensive than the cordura. If you want to do it just order a regular ELR bag at $39 and let me know in the order notes that it's you and what you want.

How do I get a bag like one in the pics at the begining of the thread... with the "grippy" stuff.... according to the pics the size looks jus' 'bout perfect.
FDE or Tan color works fine for me... I'm all about "shaking up the norm" !!
