I was thinking that it would be a good idea to start a thread on recovered hunting bullets and how they have actualy performed on game.
This could provide interesting information to hunters and give them some real life evidence on how they perform. Not just advertising hype.
I will start of this thread and give some details of the bullet. It would be good if you could provide similar information
This is a photo of a recovered projectile and a new one for comparison.
Bullet make.....Hornady Interbond.
Weight 225 grains Retained weight 113 grains.
Calibre .338 Win Mag.
Expansion diameter 0.85"
Muzzle velocity 2780 fps
Range to target animal 330 yards.
Aproximate impact velocity. 2240 fps
Animal...small deer. Died very quickly.
Impact point...Front on full length of spine.
