Grab a piece of metal and wax it with the bees wax. Mix up some bedding compound and apply it to the waxed section. Let it cure. If it sticks, the answer is no. Otherwise, you should be gtg…

How would you apply beeswax?

Heat to soften? $3 for Kiwi or $12 for some paste wax or take a chance with beeswax?

I use several, Mclube 1700L, Meguiar's paste wax or this stuff, this stuff is pretty damn good, stinks and takes a little practice to get an even coat, but it works well. Not cheap either, but a little goes a long way.

Ease of use and cost goes to the paste wax, but will leave a transfer in the bedding if you are heavy handed with it. Looks go to the Mclube or Miller-Stephenson, price and difficulty goes up exponentially with either, practice negates the difficulties. If you are just doing a few, opt for the paste wax, stored properly, it will last forever.
