Reloading 7.5mm French

Re: Reloading 7.5mm French

Careful with the throat, some of the Mas rifles have a short throat and you can get dangerously high pressures if you're not careful by seating too hard into the lands.

I had a Mas for a few months, I jumped the bullets but I can't remember how much or where my loading notes are. I think I gave them to the guy who bought the rifle since I didn't want to deal with it anymore.

I did not know, that .308 works well. </div></div>

I have an old 36/51 MAS and have been using surplus 308 heads in it for many years. There fun plinking rifles.

6.5x55 Swede will neck up for the 7.5 French using Lee Dies. I have also used Graf's brass with no problems. My load was 42.5gr of WC846 with 147gr. pulled surplus bullets.
