Reloder Powders for 6.5 Creedmoor

With H4350 still in "short supply" I've been researching and considering Alliant's Reloder series of powder for 140-147gr bullets.

The three most mentioned are 16, 17 and 26...

I've read through the product descriptions on Alliant's website, but would still appreciate some input from those who've tried these 3 powders in the 6.5CM. I imagine results might also be relevant to 6.5X47L and .260 Rem calibers.

Reloder 16 has worked well for me, I have not tried 17 or 26.

I've used 16 and dabbled with 26 in my 6.5 creedmoors. I'd probably just stick with 16 but 26 does put out some impressive speeds with the 147's. For 16 I've only used it for 127gr Barnes LRX, 142gr SMK ,and 140gr RDF's which I couldn't get to group. Accuracy was always so so with the 142's except with Rl16 and 127gr Barnes Lrx i use for hunting. I may play around with it some more when my new shorter 7.5 twist barrel comes in and see how 16 plays with the 140r ELD's just to save the rest of my 4350.

I am running Re16 in my Creedmoor with 140 RDF and 143 ELDX and it is very temp stable so far (22-70 degerees and only 1-2 fps change). Using Peterson brass, CCI450, 41.4 gr and getting 2806 and single digit SD out of a 23.5" barrel with a suppressor.

I have heard of guys getting similar and faster velocity with Re 26 and 147s.

Very happy with r16. Its was designed to be a temp stable powder, where as the 26 was designed to produce velocity, like r17. 26 is made by a different company than the 16 as well(not uncommon, Alliant just bottles it).

Only issue with 16 as compared to h4350 is thats it’s bulk density isn’t quite as good as h4350. Shouldn’t be an issue if you’re shooting heavies.

I’m getting the exact same mv with RL16 at 37deg and 75deg, and single digit SDs as well. Meters very easily too.

Not Alliant, but I have also had good luck with AA4350.
