I went to a nice pawn shop/gun store the other day on my lunch break with a friend who was purchasing a pistol (new). I ran into a practically new left hand CDL 30-06 on their shelf. Story is the guy bought it brand new, used it one hunting season and decided hunting was not for him. Keep in mind I've been looking for a left handed 06. I did a fairly thorough inspection of the firearm, it is practically brand new. Not a single scratch or ding on it, very clean bore, etc. It has a Leupold 5-9x50 Rifleman scope mounted on it in the standard Leupy rings. They are asking $900 out the door for a practically brand new rifle and scope. I haven't shoped too much on the CDLs, but I'm thinking it would make a nice hunting rig. What are your thoughts guys? What are the CDLs going for in the average store, MSRP is about $985 on Rem's website.
