My basic question is what's the difference between the two? I was on Remington's web page and the SPS tactical isn't even mentioned yet I'm seeing them for sale. Also, do either of the two have a 1/10 twist?

I believe those are 1:12 twist, and the 1:10 twist is available on the SPS Tactical AAC-SD version
Look into the AAC-SD, i love mine, 20 inch threaded barrel from factory
How is the accuracy out of your 20" barrel? Also, is the AAC-SD barrel free floated or do I have to replace the factory stock?
The AAC-SD and the Tactical share the same stock just different colors, they are free floated until you touch the forearm or rest it on something... then they are not. For under 200y its not that big of an issue but if you wish to go beyond that or have the best accuracy possible then you will want to replace it. I have both models and both shoot well. Under moa on a bad day but usually closer to half moa on advarage days and a few holy cow groups thrown in right around a thrid of moa on occasional days. All using either 168 a-max or 175 SMK's or Nosler CC's with varget.
Thanks for the info!! Might you have a suggestion on a stock that under pressure won't touch the barrel without breaking the bank? The stock would have a bipod attached.
I've been thinking about that rifle especially now that after 12 months I got my stamp back and was able to take home my AAC 762-SDN-6 suppressor. I was hoping to find something with a 24" barrel coupled with a 1/10 twist barrel but it's hard. How is the accuracy out of your 20" barrel? Also, is the AAC-SD barrel free floated or do I have to replace the factory stock?
Not an AAC, just a regular SPS TAC 308, but I also like my B&C M40.AAC-SD plus B&C M40 or A2 Medalist is a tough combo to beat for the money.
