What is your favorite Remington 700 SA bottom metal inlet? Alternatively, what do you feel that other designs are lacking?

I'm working on a bottom metal project, but am unsure what inlet to go with, as creating a footprint seems counterproductive.

No experts have stepped in yet so I'll give you my more novice opinion as the owner of a few 700s. I don't think you can go wrong with bottom metal if you spend at least $200. I would probably go Badger, Wyatt, or DD Ross etc.

Then again I have no issue using the BDL bottom metal for more occasional range and hunting use.

I've had the PT&G bottom metal on my 700PSS for well over a year and have been more then happy with it. For what you would pay for a Badger, you can get a PT&G and sent it out to have it routed outed professionally on a CNC. I'm not jumping out of airplanes and dragging it across no mans land... so for what I wanted, it fit the bill nicely.

no regrets and would do it again...

I would never pay $200 plus for bottom metal, for me, absolutely no reason too....

I'm going to go with a KMW Mk-1 DBM, the predecessor to the Surgeon bottom metal. I really like that it protects the front of the magazine if you want to ram it into a barricade a little harder than you meant to. That's definitely a feature I look for.

If you could make a near drop in fit for a BDL with minimal work that takes AICS mags, I think it would be very popular alternative. I have the Gen 2 Badger M5 and really like it's design features.
