Remington 700 Tactical 223 5 shot group!

Finally found my load for the 223, 23grains of ramshot tac, cci primmers, 75 grain amax, 2.450 OAL,.30 off the lands, Shot it last month at a match at 300,500 and 600 yard on prone standing and movers and the gun shot better than i expected at 600 yards, took 5th place out of 13.

how do you like the ramshot tac i have never used it in 223

I love it for 308 and heavy 223, groups good with 69 and 75's groups are around 1 1/4 with 50's and 55's

Now just seat those damn bullets deeper!!! 4.450" OAL!!!!!

Sierra says 2.260" OAL MAX.....but if it feeds than jam them GD lands!!!

I had one of those on my 300WM and really liked the reticle....I will not buy Leupold ever again.....no need untill USO or Nightforce....nobody makes MOA?MOA or MIL/MIL so what makes Leupold so great? Many times I have done side by sides and the Lupy's just are no where near as clear.....and for 1/2 the cost too....hmmmm. Again good shooting and good choice.

Is this your first LR rig?

i have torchard the turrets up and down and it always goes back to zero, i cant complain for a budget scope

modified the magizine to hold the 2.450 oal amax's
Trigger pull is around 1 1/2 lb

I would like to get a nice tactical stock and extended bolt handle for it, any body know who can do the bolt handle?

A few guys on the Hide do them, great CS whoever you pick....depends on what you want though, I don't have small hands but they aren't fat and a Badger knob hits my knuckle on my trigger finger, this is the DD Ross knob but there are many like it, I like it close to the rifle and well basicly just like this....both of my rifles had them...same length and all.

Keith Johns at Arizona Precision. 75.00 for ceramic coated and sent back bolt handle. I have 4 of them. Very nice guy. That DD Ross looks very nice.

Still trying to fine tune mine (mostly OAL), I got some pretty small groups of 5 during testing but I'm having a few issues with keeping my consistency with 10 (its mental, shots 9 and 10 were my two worst on my best group last night).

The gun can shoot fairly well for a $500 gun (in a $800 stock now granted) thats for sure.

and +1 on getting the knob done by Keith, wish I had done it earlier (and with my 308 before a week long class)
