One of my trigger pings workes its way out slightly with normal use of the rifle. When it happens I am unable to close the bolt or press the bolt release to take the bolt out. Anyone else have this issue?
As always Spife7980 is on point. The measurements are important, especially if the trigger has never been removed. However my experience has been the Remington triggers are usually the first thing changed and the damn pins loosen up each time they’re removed. They’re different lengths so I wouldn’t try swapping them around. You might get away with a drop of lock tite but I’d go ahead and get a set of Remington replacement pins before something gets messed up. They’re $12 at red hawk rifles. Good luck and happy shooting

Does the pin vise help with installation? If so he’ll definitely want to get that, especially if he ends up using one of those entire “oil hard drill rods”.

No, the pin vise is used to hold the pin while dressing the ends on a grinder. I cut the pins long with a Dremel then put them in the pin vise and grind them, cleaning up the ends.
I've never used the pin vise to try and install the pins. No need to.
