Remington Action SAUM size vs. .308 SA size

Is the Remington 700 SAUM action footprint the same as a SA 700 .308? Can I use the same stock for both actions?

Yes. I have a 300 saum and just got a stock for a SA. If I'm correct their the exact same receiver just a different bolt face and mag box and follower. The barrel contour is different tho. If your going from a factory rifle in saum I believe it's a magnum sporter contour which is slightly heavier than the 308 sporter but if your going with aftermarket barrels just have the stock opened up for the larger of the two and you should be ok. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong

What size of bolt face is used for the 7mm and 6.5mm saum? I was thinking of maybe staying a build on a stainless long action and can't find the bolt face info I needed. Thank you.
