Gents, looking for research question. Perhaps wrong place for this but......, I have a model 12 22 pump Remington produced in 1924 by serial #. Cleaning it up to day and found stamped around muzzzle is " AGP Parker weld". Now weld is very faint but I think that's correct. I found reference to PARKERIFILING On Google. It appears to perhaps have been rebarreled. There is a very faint ring around muzzle that appears to be a very thin ring of brass and then the outer portion is iron or steel like the rest of barrel. Very confused! Can anyone help me. Looks like a standard model 12 to me but has aluminum butt plate. Has missing peep tang sight I think as screw holes are visible. Thanks for any info!
