Remington RACS

Re: Remington RACS

Yours is the only mention that I can find with Google in the last month about the RACS. It's mid-July, you'd think we would have heard soemthing about the RACS. The MSR is up for mil contracts right? Is the RACS also?

Yea, I don't think I'd be writing checks for downpayments on anything I see at the SHOT show. Thought Remington might be more on the ball. Keeps me from spending money, though without the MSR, I keep getting tempted with 7.62 ARs.

The two bog new stocks where the AI-X and the MSR- are either out?

Re: Remington RACS

There are a few being circulated. No clue as to Remington's intent to push it big.
The butt assembly is very busy and has a lot of edges. Same basic ass end from their MSR stock but with the direction of fold reversed for obvious reasons.

Reversing the hinge direction will make it imperitive that anyone utilizing the wire trough for any pressure switch at the rear have enough slack in their wire to handle the extra long trip around the assembly or go under/over.

The model with the monolithic rail puts the day optic sorta kinda high over the receiver.

I can't help but wonder how the adjustable gears and parts would fare after a few trips through mud and sand? Just like most of these type stocks it feels like an AR10.

Re: Remington RACS

Sorry but that's the silliest weapons related thing I've seen lately, but I'm sure if Remington ever releases it some one will buy it depending on the price.

Re: Remington RACS

I have to agree with HateCA. Way to much shit going on with this one. Its simply not needed, not to mention the weight. looks awful as well. if your after a tube gun buy a good one like the Eliseo. Lee

Re: Remington RACS

Looks like a beating to get to the trigger. I like being able to field service my rifle in a timely manner. Is this the transformers special edition?

Glad you got one but I sympathize with AZS. I had a 50% deposit made on one for just over a year and eventually got tired of getting the runaround every time I called. They still seem to be crankin em out much slower than demand calls for.

Re: Remington RACS

Played with the RACS a little and Terry is spot on but I did go to the link to look. Do I understand that they want $2800.00 for a STOCK? Heck, i have saw complete GAPs and others in 2.0 AICS for that kind of cash!

Re: Remington RACS

OH well that's better........By a small amt.

I have custom rifles that wasn't that much. Guess it is all in what you are after.

I would like to run one through a match to see what all the hub bub is about.

Oh trust me i know what yall went though. I waited for over 3 years and after them constantly pushing the due date back, i threw a bitch fit until we finally agreed on a deadline and they finally delivered. I just got mine about two months ago.

Re: Remington RACS

Sorry to hear about your troubles with the JAE700 delivery schedule. From what I have seen, they do make a very nice stock system.

The RACS has not been available to my knowledge.

If you like the look of the MSR type system and are in need of a Strike Dual Series Gen 3 chassis system - we can get our chassis systems out very quickly.

From a historical standpoint, this current design is the GEN 3 unit over what was originally designed for the US Military on the M24E program. Remington is using the GEN 1 designed chassis on the M24E or XM2010. Remington also used this technology on the MSR and RACS systems (for the Remington 700 short or long actions).

The Strike Dual Gen 3 chassis series have many additional design upgrades over the original design for the military.

If you need any details, please send me an email or please contact me. We have had great results with these chassis systems.
