I've got some 308 LC mil crimped brass and was having a little trouble priming the brass.
Standard brass prep nothing out of the norm unless the following is out of the norm.
I'm using an Rcbs prep center to clean the neck and to debur and chamfer the neck and to clean primer pocket. I'm also using the debur champher tool to remove the crimp.
I still go back and use the hand primer pocket uniformer and run it through the primer pockets.
Trouble is I still wind up with brass that the primers don't want to go into. It looks and feels like the crimp is gone and the uniformer goes in pretty easily but not some of the primers.
I'm using the RCBS APS hand primer
Is there a better way? Don't say get different brass that would be to easy.
