So I did both a ladder test and OCW type test at 311 yards yesterday through my 20" .308 AIAX with factory Bartlein barrel and TBAC 30BA suppressor.

trimmed and FL sized Lake City LR Brass with .002" neck tension via Redding bushing dies with a max runout of .002" at the neck and loaded round

PP 2000MR powder with each charge weighed on a balance beam scale

Berger 185 Juggernauts, all checked for consistent base to Ogive measurement.

Loaded to 2.278 to Ogive which yields 0.010" jump and a overall of 2.955" which is about as long as I care to run them in my AIAX magazines.

I believe I am looking at 46.5 grains as being my go to. Vertical dispersion is about .08 MOA!

ALL ROUNDS were held to the same POA, center of their respective black dot which is 3/4" OD. The ladder test ran off the paper vertically by about 3/4"

Let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks

Yea I confused myself on that part.

311 yards, .25" center to center vertical dispersion = I'm happy with it.....

also it had a 7/8" C to C horizontal dispersion without the flyer so I think I will load a couple rounds .1 above and below and shoot some 5 shot groups at 300 and see what they look like and try the magnetospeed chrono against my shooting chrony and see what velocities look like.

Yea those horizontal fliers were me jerking the trigger as I hit the second stage. I could tell when they broke where they were going.

I was on the fence about the magnetospeed versus the acoustic unit rifles only is carrying. Just wanted to try something else. I am interested to see how it stacks up.

    went out again today.

Took my magnetospeed and honestly no accuracy effect just a .1 mil droop at 315 yards. Against my Shooting Chrony (saying 2685) I have the MS saying 2655 avg and my dope at 829 yards says 2685 is good to go. Just strapped it on my suppressor and went, didn't try to change the position or anything and I DID use the alignment bar. I will have to play with it more but honestly I just run 10 - 15 rounds over it to check for velocity variations and if things check out it never goes out again since I tune using FFS at distance.

And 185 Berger Juggernauts over 46.5 (loaded a few of 46.4 and 46.6 to verify the groups were consistent regardless of slight charge variations) of 2000MR with Federal 210 primers in LC brass is an awesome load. Had several groups at 315 yds with only 1.5" horizontal and .5"-1" vertical dispersion (same hold regardless of wind).
