ive been looking into the browe combat optics lately. considering ordering one but not sure what reticle color to go with, they are offered in the usual red, amber, and green, but blue is also an option. I like the look of the blue but the only optics ive ever seen with blue reticles have been barska, tru-glo, konus, and generally lower end optics. Anyone else had any experience with a blue reticle? what are your suggestions as to what color to go with?

Re: reticle colors?

Ive got a USO 1-8X on order.

Im going with red for the daylight bright dot because I want it to immediatly grab my eye.

I decided to go blue for the reticle because I want a relaxing color when looking through the reticle, blue will show over a black bull nicely, not many things in nature are blue to lose my crosshairs on.

That was my logic. Perhaps I should reassess in light of the recent talk regarding blue helmets in the USA?

Nah, I heard that after a few weeks or so those helmets won't have any heads to sit on. Of course if you wanted to be a part of the reason for that then perhaps red will be a good choice after all.
