Never had an issue shooting Eley Match and Edge in my Vudoo. Shot thousands of them in matches. The problem most have is rim lock as the bullet shape sits different in the mag.
Rim-x vs. Vudoo. Which did you choose and why?

Proof prefit - 20”. Threaded but no tuner.
This barrel was reworked by a smith after the prior owner had some unexplainable issues.
I looked at Rimx, Anchuets, Vudoo and multiple versions of the CZ 457. I ended up going with the Vudoo MTU barrel in the MPA Chassis. I wanted a finished ready to shoot no mods needed rifle and that is what I got. Shot my 1st 22LR paper target match today and took 1st.
Not looking for congrats but giving another side to that story. I know many others who use Eley also.
I tried Eley and it just didn't shoot as good as Lapua or RWS in my Vudoo. I tried Eley Tenex,Match and Tenex Biathlon. It was pretty good at 25 yard but fell apart at 50,75,100 yards. Just as a note Lapua X-ACT didn't shoot like $28+ a box ammo should either. I ended up with Lapua Long Range as the most consistent for 25 to 200 yards. I would like to try Lapua Center when ever more comes in stock.
I have 2 Vudoo rifles, one I bought new from them, and the other I bought used. Both of those rifles were purchases as complete rifles from vudo and have had no issue with feeding. Hve had very good customer service from them and always willing to answer questions.
I fought feeding issues with my Vudoo in most stocks and chassis. Switched to a Foundation with Vudoo bottom metal and can’t make it misfeed.
I went with the RimX, particularly because I liked the features they offer with the action like the ease of getting prefits spun up, the adjustable mags and the feel of the cocking cycle. Also I have a soft spot for stuff from Zermätt since I’ve got an origin and TL3, so the RimX is a great addition to the family

Did a review of the V-22 a couple years ago. I have a lot of experience with the Vudoo design and less with the Rim-X. Off the top of my head, my thoughts are:
Vudoo advantages:
- Can push feed so you can hand add a round without using the mag and also use a single shot adapter.
- More tolerant of different triggers than the Rim-x. They are still not as tolerant as centerfire actions, but I understand the rim-x are less tolerant.
- Because they usually come as either a barreled action or full rifle it's harder to mess things up and come up with a combination of barrel, stock, and installation that either doesn't feed the best or shoot to the actions potential. With it's pricing on bare actions vs. barreled ones, Vudoo actively discourages having them built elsewhere.
-Can buy inexpensive plastic mags as well as expensive adjustable aluminum ones (old Vudoo aluminum ones wern't great but the new ones look to be a significant upgrade and much more similar to the rim-x ones in features).
-It is my understanding the Vudoo is a bit more tolerant of the differing rim thicknesses different ammo makers have than the Rim-x. This means it is reliable with more different stuff. In my experience pretty much anything that isn't that weird 60gr aguila.
Rim-x advantages:
- ~$200 cheaper to assemble a barreled action than with Vudoo. The cost advantage of Rim-X is even greater if you want a specific smith that is not Vudoo as Vudoo encourages you with the price structure to have them assemble it.
- If you want to swap around barrels it is easy to do that. Perhaps you want a heavy one for comps and a carbon for hiking about. Easy to do that with Rim-x.
- You don't have to be careful loading the mag to prevent rim-lock that will cause a mis-feed as it is more angled and you can't really mess up loading it.
Vudoo advantages:

I know this thread is a few months old but for information purposes, this is my 2nd barrel from ibi. I had to send the first back because of loose chamber. You could drop a round in and shake it and it was really loose. This one.. well I think you can tell by the pics.
That’s seriously shoddy looking. How could that pass any QC check?
I haven’t heard great things about their prefits with the barrel nut, I’ve heard of a number going back because of thin spots getting banged up around the chamber mouth or just messy chambers.

Vudoo. Why? I just started shooting 50 yard benchrest, first 2 matches I placed 2nd. Third match came in first with a 250 and 17X score. Oh and my target was not staked down correctly and was moving in the wind. Mine likes Lapua Center-X and I have went through just about every brand of ammo currently available including Midas+. Placed 2nd with the rifle after only 50 round break in. Really there was no break in. It shot well after the first few rounds. Topped with a Nightforce NX8 4x32x50 FFP. I also love that scope. I have Vortex Viper PST 5255 5x25x50 and a EOtech 5x25x50 both FFP. Nightforce wins on clarity and Parallax down to 11, Vortex is close at 20. There's a couple RimX at the Matches so first I'm scoring higher and speaking with the owners I only heard about feeding issues. I didn't ask about details. In the Match that I shoot in best so far has been 250 and 20X, 17X is awesome and I think a 25X is possible!!

Spoke with RimX at Shot Show and they are working on an improved action.. Not sure when it will be done.
I sold my Vudoo 360 as my CZ457 Custom shot better in head to head testing. The CZ457 won 8 of 10 targets. Not saying the Vudoo was bad just the CZ was better. Both were shot off same Accu-Tac bipod and rear bag

Love the surplus Kimber 82G in here with all the multiple thousand dollar rifles. They were $400 with a nice diopter sight included when the last ones were sold in ~2012 btw. For what it is worth, my best 82G out shoots my Anschutz 54. My Vudoo is better than both though. I do not think this sort of performance is anywhere near average from an 82G. I bought a number of them back then and there was a good difference in perfromance from rifle to rifle. They could be pretty sloppy with the barrel crowning and the barrels were not top tier blanks to start with. They also culled out some of the best barrels for their star grade civilian rifles. Still, all the CMP 82G's were spectacular for the price and I dont' think they got all the hummers. My best one averages truely excellent sub .4" groups at 50yards with quite a few different lots of match ammo. Also, my Anschutz 54 is not a particularly good shooting Annie. Still, its fun to see an 82G shooting with the big guns. I did a little extra work on mine back when I had time pre-kids.

When I shot the Vudoo and CZ head-to-head I used ARA Unlimited class targets and used the same bipod and rear bag at 50 yards. I then shot 5 targets each with ammo from the same lot and box so everything would be equal. I used Lapua Midas, Long Range, Polar Biathlon, Center X and SK Match Rifle. The CZ scored better on 4 of 5the targets. I then shot 5 more targets with the ammo each rifle preferred and the CZ scored better on 4 of those 5 targets. As I said It's not that the Vudoo ever shot bad it's just the CZ shot better. I have shot both out to 350 yards and there virtually no difference between the two rifles. For me what it came down too was I had two rifles that performed very well and I only needed one. Knowing that the Vudoo would be easier sell and recoup my money and all thing being almost equal I sold the Vudoo. The guy I sold it to had been very happy with it. Hope this explains why I sold.

Vudoo vs Rimx. I received a windfall last winter and had the cash on hand to purchase one or the other. I was really leaning towards the RimX because of the ability to swap barrels or just plain put the thing together myself. having basically built a centerfire Anschutz handgun, converting it from a rear grip, I was not particularly thrilled with re-imagining another rimfire. And that got me. Knowing how easy it is to install a pre-fit barrel on a centerfire, I was thinking it would be pretty much the same. So,, after watching a video on the barrel installation, seeing that it was not really the same as with a centerfire, I said to myself, Yep, I really wanted a Vudoo. Which of course is the end of story. Could not be happier with my choice and the build. It’s a real shooter. (And been so right out of the box.). (And hit the weight mark, Brenda insisted due to my bad shoulder)
