Brinkmeister, that looks like a setup I would have .... but I don't. I do have your stock, grip, scope mount, bipod and charging handle, but they are on different guns.

It's a great setup, and the lightest I have. I could drop some weight by using my ACE stock, but with the pencil barrel and Samson handguard this works great. Pretty accurate at 50 meter, yet not as good as my Anschütz was. But with a 1/12 barrel, you can't expect miracles.

I use it for dynamic matches as well. Running and gunning with it is great fun, the 2-7 scope and a 45 degree Docter make all shots work. And now I use it to train patience and trigger discipline.

Who makes the barrel/bolt you are running on it? Thanks

Ben

At night I like to shoot my Keystone PT 722 suppressed with an AAC Ti-RANT 45M, a Nitecore MT40GT flashlight and Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56. At this time I had my Silencerco Sparrow on and was cleaning the Ti-RANT. I would have never bought the Sparrow if I had bought the Ti-RANT first.

I'm just getting the first 500 rounds through a new RAR Target and very happy with results/accuracy so far. I'm not too concerned at this point with what is the best ammo to feed it - doing de-bugging and set up right now. I think long term it'll be my go-to rim fire, though. The CCI S. V. ammo is doing real well for me so far. I did replace the trigger spring with an ink pen spring and that really helped lighten the pull - down to 1 1/4#.

Both stocks have qd mounts built in on the buttstocks. The mpa stock on the right has them built into the forend as well. The mdt does not.

Thanks kissofdeath i really like both of them and they’re both shooters

I'm on the edge at getting a MDT for my Anschutz 1712. The 1712 come in a Silhouette wood stock, it's not bad for off hand shooting but really crappy on the bench. It is advertised as having a free floating barrel and this is true....sometimes. The wood definitely moves and creates contact points. I do not want to fool with bedding. I put the 1712 in my XLR chassis and it was a significant improvement in accuracy and shooting comfort. The XLR chassis from Anschutz cost $695 + shipping and as you know the MDT is $399 with free shipping.

You have to add the price of whatever buttstock you want to the mdt also. So depening on how nice of one you want they can be comparable In price. I’ve never shot a xlr to compare but I like the mdt. I would like to see the forend be a couple of inches longer but overall it’s a nice solid chassis. I like to be able to leave my bipod on and still use a front bag just to keep things easy at the nrl22 matches. But the 8” area 419 rail works perfect, with one extra hole drilled in the rail I got all 4 screws in and it’s super solid and added 2”.

The mkii in a Boyd’s stock could only be torqued to 20in lbs to be accurate with sk rifle match that was averaging around .7 5 shots groups. Now it’s shooting in the .4’s torqued at 50 in lbs with center x which isn’t that bad considering it’s a factory barreled savage the only other upgraded is a rifle basic trigger. So the v bed works pretty good.

You have to add the buttstock and grip to the XLR too according to the XLR website. I need to call Anschutz back and see if what they are selling includes the buttstock and grip; if so then it's not a bad deal.

Fast forward, I'm not deleting anything above to show my thought process. I just went to the Anschutz website and they now have the stock listed for sale at $650. That is only $55 more than the same stock (diff. platform) on the XLR site. I have already left a request to get one. The stock does include the buttstock and pistol grip just like mine come with. Sometimes procrastinating does pay off.

I have a Savage MK II FV-SR that I played around with the stock to practice some painting.....then covered with 3 or 4 coats of DuraCoat clear for a hard finish.

I bought a V-22 action a year ago, barreled it myself with a Krieger sendero blank, put it in a Manners Elite T4A stock w/ PTG Stealth DBM, Jewell HVR trigger, Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56 in Seekins rings. Weighs 13.5lbs with empty mag & Harris bipod. Have been wanting to try a Bartlein 22RF bbl, and got the chance to do so by getting this V-22 bbl'd action done in sniper grey CK. Also trying a TT Diamond trigger & Manners PRS-1T stock - really like both so far. This one weighs 13lbs even.

For the price that AT one is hard to beat. Do you glass bed your rifles? I have 2 rifles bedded in those stores ks and I believe they are some of the best or the price stocks you can get.

No Sir, I haven't bedded the stock yet. Not sure that I will as good as it shoots.
The only thing I have done is float the barrel as the last couple inches were touching the stock on the bottom.
