RL16, RL17, or IMR 4350

I have reloader 16 ,17,26, and 4350. I prefer reloader 16 and am about to try 26 with heavies. Have heard very promising things about 26. 17 is a little bit temp sensitive from my findings with my 308 running heavies. So I do not use that as much. 16 gave me a little bit better velocities over 4350 and both are not temp sensitive so have stuck with 16. I have reloader 26 for my 6.5 saum so will be loading up some of the new 144 berger hybrids and the Sierra 150s for the creedmoor and see if I can get another 50 to 100 fps.

I have no real world experience with the 6GT but I thought that it was designed for a full load of varget. That was supposed to be best velocity and be the most efficient. I would think reloader 16 and 4350 would not be the best choice. But again I have no real world experience with the 6GT

Had my first range session with RL16. Shot 39.7 to 43.0 in .3 increments. 3 shots each. RPR 6.5CM with a bartlein barrel. Lapua brass and eld 140s. I've only shot H4350 in the past and my pet load is 41.4 at 2810fps.

RL16 can shoot. I couldn't shoot 100 yard groups, so I went to the 500 range and setup a target at 200. It was rainy and windy, so I wasn't interested in groups. Mainly wanted Chrono data. Chrono data was great. Single digit sd and extreme spreads were right there with H4350. Some even better.

Going to refine a load in the 40.9 to 41.5 range which should get me in the 2800 to 2820 range. Then I'll look for groups.

But if you are worried about H4350 availability, you can probably shoot RL 16 with confidence.
